every cop that i have talked to is very pro gun and says that they will not die trying to confiscate guns. I couldn't believe the deputy that I heard speaking in CT after the recent gun buy back program. He was saying that he thought it was a good thing because the public would be safer because there would not be any guns in the homes for criminals to steal. All you have to do is look up the crime statistic for the US compared to the UK. There crime is practically double what the US is and they are disarmed.
