Stud looks like Curly from the Three Stooges in that pic.

I laugh at people who think football is rocket science.

At lease the man knows his limitations.
I can't say the same bout us here.

Heartbreak Tiger is spot on.
Since Crowton left, I thought Stud was the weak link of the LSU coaching staff & know a better Oline coach can easily be found.
And he has no business being OC after this past season's terribly inconsistent offensive performances.

Football might not be Rocket Science but even though Rocket Scientists are brilliant I would bet most don't know a damn thing about football and probably could never learn the game. The game takes a lot more to learn than you think, thats why most people don't really learn the game and don't have a clue.

It's all relative.
Within the profession, Miles appears to run a great program but isn't the worlds greatest game day coach. It doesn't matter at all how well any of us would do.
If some of you think it's just LSU fans who have a dim view of his crunch time skills, they would be very naive.
Miles runs a very good program, but it's pretty obvious to a lot of people that something isn't clicking with the offense, and hasn't been for a while.

I reported last night that Stud will resign or go back to OL coach.
To be frank, we need a better OL coach... Think it's time to sever this relationship all together.

The article is correct.
Re the title of the thread, I live in Wilmington, NC and even I know that TP stands for Times Picayune.
BR=Baton Rouge; UA means Alabama; AU means Auburn... how far do we need to go to bitch around here?
Yes, we HAVE TO GET A REAL OC (offensive coordinator)!

Exactly. Nobody is saying we can do his job. Just that if you get paid top notch money, we shouldn't have to worry about elementary mistakes. If you leverage your way into a higher contract, multiple times, we should NOT be seeing the same mistakes.

quote:Nonsense. Rosetta wrote a much-needed op-ed piece. CLM seems to only respond to pressure, only when he has to. We saw that when he finally got around to finding and hiring a DC, and look how good he did. But getting him to that point of action took a fair amount of prodding, and it looks like it's going to be the same thing with a real OC. This headline is absolutely on-target:
He might as well write "I'm a douche with an insignificant opinion that nobody should take seriously" right at the top of the article.
quote:C'mon Les Miles. Show us you really are as good a HC as your present record at LSU might still indicate you are (and even better).
LSU's Les Miles sits at a familiar crossroads after lackluster offensive season

In the 1%, yet again. Everyone look at me!

I can't believe that Stud and others are getting the blame for Les Miles offensive. I don't care what anyone says, this is Miles offense. It's Les's decision to go with Mett and not have a backup plan, EVER! If you sat Mett's arse maybe just maybe it will get his attention. That kid is too comfortable knowing it's his job no matter what. Les should shake things up at the QB position like he often does with the running backs. It's Miles stubbornness that is holding LSU back and until he lets others do their jobs LSU will suffer. For those of you that are screaming "10-3" the SEC is down this year, we should have won not only the SEC but the F'n NC too.

Yeah, but you're a simpleton.

For anyone who thinks Miles didn't have a hand in the last 3 plays with 2+ min left you are crazy. Stud is a "yes" man that why he was placed as OC.
And if for some insane reason he didnt know what was being called( he hears every play through that head set) then he is grossly incompetant.

Read it. There is absolutely nothing in this article that hasn't already been said just on the Rant alone - FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. The only things original are the obvious grammatical mistakes.
Maybe someone can enlighten me on Rosetta's journalistic bona fides - like where he earned his journalism degree? (please don't tell me it was from LSU) Wasn't his last gig as an LSU recruiting website employee or something?
We have a lot of bloggers turned sports journalist around South Louisiana these days. Makes me think there's a couple of posters on Tigerdroppings who should send in samples of their postings/musings for consideration as TP/NOLA.com sports reporters.
Or maybe one of our local reporters will grow a pair and actually ask Les MIles some of the questions they pose to readers in their columns regarding LSU's offensive ineptitude.
