Clemson had our number in short yardage plays all night. They thought we'd do it again. We didn't. We caught them off guard. We had the guy wide open. We didn't make the pass. It was a good call. It's not that hard to see. Unless you have another agenda here to prove that's bigger than this one play call. But none of you would stoop to that.

You should check the box score. We only had one run for a loss all game, and that was Ford. Hill had only two runs that failed to gain yardage, out of 12 runs. Even without the long touchdown Hill was averaging 6 YPC. Ware was averaging 3 YPC, and had gains of 1 yard, 5 yards, and 3 yards on his 3 runs. He never lost yardage and was never stopped for no gain. Hilliard, who inexplicably only had two touches, had gains of 5 and 3 yards.

The idea that the run was so ineffective that they couldn't gain 2 yards on 2 downs is completely farcical. They were getting small chunks of yards on nearly every run.

Hill ran for more yards than Mettenberger threw for. Mettenberger was 14 of 23 with *6* sacks. Why in the world would those stats convince you that you needed to pass the ball to pick up 2 yards?!

The situation, and what the other team is doing, dictate what you should do. On short yardage situations Clemson stacked and beat us. The coaches had every reason to believe they were going to do it again, and they were right! Clemson stacked, we caught them off guard, and players failed to execute a great play call. If they had called a run, opened a ten yard hole, and Mett fumbled the handoff, would that have been a stupid call?
