I hunt with a bunch of guys who don't unload their guns all season. You never know when you will see a deer while riding around the lease.

On a side note, do you ride around with a loaded pistol? If so, which I'm sure most of us do, what's the difference?

I carry a revolver on an empty cylinder.

Even if I carried it with 6 in it, I would be less concerned about it than say, a loaded bolt action rifle. With a bolt action, something is holding the sear back, which is spring loaded and trying like hell to hit the firing pin. With something like a revolver or single shot rifle, it isn't spring loaded until you cock it.
