To be honest the loss to Fla this year meant nothing.

The loss is not the point. The potential future losses are the point.

That is why the Gump Nation is fighting so hard to keep the permanent opponent rule. This rule forever reduces the number of times they play the strongest recruiting program in the SEC East, and at the same time maximizes the times LSU plays the best recruiting program in the SEC East.

We could solve the permanent opponent problem once and for all by sending both Bama schools to the east, and moving Missouri to the West.

With this move, Bama keeps their beloved game with Tennessee, Auburn keeps their beloved game with Georgia, the Bama schools keep playing each other, and a fair cross-division schedule could be instituted.

Just think of all the carbon we could keep out of the environment with Missoui in the SEC West. University Presidents should love that fact.

According to Florida and Bama fans, they don’t see a problem with playing each other every year, and neither do I.

I fully understand the hypocrites will never go for this plan, but if we keep throwing the unfairness of the present system in their faces, change will come sooner or later. Probably allowing some schools to go to a rotational cross-division schedule, or changing to a division record for division championships, or a combination of both. Take your pick.
