Probably the only war movie that I will stop and watch everytime would be Saving Private Ryan. Let's not forget the great movie "Heartbreak Ridge"

Platoon is an all time favorite of mine.

Sorry bro just don't think that people that were there 20 years ago are talking to you about it. I mean what's your rank how long you been in. Hell I was in 10th mountain in 03 to 04 never heard anyone bring it up

I think Band of Brothers is some of the best ever put down on film. The Pacific was great but I connected with BoB more.

You've got to be in the national guard.

Yep and your a private I can tell. Make me look like an idiot and show me your not. Just hard for me to believe you swap war stories with guys that have been in 20 + years and you've never sniffed it am I wrong.

Hasn't been mentioned yet, but I really like "Flight of the Intruder," based on the book of the same name written by Stephen Coonts. Used to be available on Netflix, but not anymore.

Anybody else come across these idiot that did one tour and completely fabricate their experiences to the point that even little girls know they're lying.
I ran across one of these recently and it was all I could do not to beat his arse.
I appreciate that you went. You don't have to make shite up.

Link to where I said I swap war stories?
Like I said my previous 1st Sgt was in Somalia, in fact he's the currently the only guy that was there that's still in Regiment. I also went to church where Chaplain/Sgt Strueker attends as well as plenty of other former 3rd batt guys that were there.
I'm not trying to get into some pissing contest here and I damn sure don't have anything to prove to you. I stayed in my lane when you were in another thread bragging about how you dosed up while on missions in Iraq, I advise you to stay in yours.
