You're doing it right. The biggest mistake you can make is trying to get them to shoot too soon. It'll make em develop a flinch.

Yeah I've eased her into shooting. She's comfortable shooting her .223 and .243. Now I've gotta find her a shotgun to use. She handles that .243 like a champ so I'm thinking of skipping the .410 and going straight to a 20ga. She'll be able to hunt the rest of her life with a 20ga. if she likes it
