better acting
better dialogue
better story
more tense scenes (there is nothing in django that comes close to the opening scene or the bar scene of IB)

False
Even
Maybe
Fair point

Better acting in IB than Django?? Django is the type of movie that may get 3 nods for Best Supporting Actor.

Its Waltz/Fassbender(sp) and thats it in terms of "great acting" in IB. Dicaprio/Jackson destroys Brad Pitt and whoever else.

I thought the dialogue was just as good. The interactions of Shultz with the Marshall, the Speck brothers, etc were tremendous.

Basterds had a better story, but Django executed its story better. There was no scene as intense as the Tavern scene. But the "Handshake" scene was tremendous as well.

Again...watch it again...give it some more time...Let it sink in.

Inglorious Basterds was great....but I think ultimately Django will be viewed/favored more as time goes by.

I will be watching it again this weekend.

Did anyone else enjoy the 2nd half more than the first? I thought it was much better

and waltz was a lot better in IB, plus there were great performances by the french scarlet jo and diane kruger

there wasn't anything like that in django, imho. jamie fox just was mean and black and shultz was unremarkable. leo was pretty good, though

jackson was a one-trick pony who got old after the initial scene (which was hilarious)

they were forced and repetitive, like samuel j jackson's character

but there was no real development to that point. it was like a 180 all of a sudden that created conflict

shultz had issues with slavery and then after doing a good thing just goes, "frick it i'm going to die here making a moral point in front of people who won't give a shite, instead of leaving and coming back to kill them later." like i said, it was just forced
