Long Live A$AP

So, like Long Live A$AP is A$AP Rocky’s statement to the world that he has finally matured as an artist. Arguably, this is the most well-produced rap album. It features Clams Casino, who definitely adds magic to Rocky’s tracks. It features Santigold whose melodic voice dominates “Hell”. Skrillex makes an appearance in “Wild For The Night”.
But the dominant feature of the album is the cameo appearances by other rappers: Schoolboy Q, Drake, 2 Chains, Kendrick Lamar, and other rappers. The support from these rappers screams Rocky’s message that resonates throughout the album: I am here and I have made it. A$AP Rocky said it himself, “frickin’ Problem” shows his maturity as an artist.
Imagine a schizophrenic, ghastly environment that is beautiful and this captures the essence of Rocky’s music. Rocky definitely goes hard with his lyrics and is very explicit.
Overall, this is a great album.
What do y’all think?

It may just be me, but I find this sentence very ironic.

Why is a$ap rocky good? I am missing something nothing of his has made me think he is special. What am I missing?

This.
I guess people jam new artists just b/c they're different, ignoring whether they're even good or not.

A$AP Rocky's style cannot be beat. It's totally different in a way that I love. Has anyone listened to Lines with Big Boi and Phantogram? Lines
There's nothing like it; and, I loved Phantogram before this came out. Amazing swag on this song.

Lines is a great song. It has a little bit of everything in it.
ASAP and Kendrick are going to be running things in the rap game for the next decade

Dude, for sure.
I couldn't agree more.

Good album, but really wasn't blown away by it like I thought I'd be. Not as good as LiveLove, IMO. 1 Train, Ghetto Symphony, and LVL are my favorites.

No, you like him and think he's one of the best up and comers b/c he's different. There aren't many rappers you can compare his "style" to out right now.
Let Kendrick start producing hits that match his potential and ASAP have more than 1 radio worthy song before you set those lofty expectations.

This doesnt even make sense. The dude makes music that i like, theres nothing else to it. His talent shines through

Id say Kendrick has done that already and ASAP has shown what he can do as well
