Anyone here experiment with aging your own bourbon with the at home barrels. Was thinking about ordering one to age some poor mans pappy but wanted some reviews first?

I've had some of a bottle of Dry Fly that someone put the barrel chips on to add age, color and flavor too. I wasn't impressed with the pre nor post product. I would be interested to see what the humidity of the summer would do to a younger bourbon down here (especially in the smaller barrel with higher bourbon to surface area ratio).

Yes, I'm looking for a maximum of 1000 50+ gallon oak charred barrels, but I can't find a supplier.

Looking to age them at least 8 years, I want to take a lot of the casino shareholding profits I make and open a distillery. Bring bourbon back to where it belongs.
