Picked up a bottle this afternoon...it was strange I didn't already have some at the house, but I'll be toasting the old man tonight

I had an unopened bottle waiting... It will be cracked open soon.

I saw on the bourbon exchange that a few people are starting to find the second release of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. Anyone know when its supposed to make it to Louisiana?

I am going to start looking around FL. The regular EC 12 yr is not too bad either

Caskers.com has a few bottles of jps 21 for sale. I just received an email about it today.

Many thanks to those of you that recommended Elmer T Lee (particularly Dr Beardface). I picked it up today for the first time and find it very enjoyable.

Picked up a bottle of Black Maple Hill last night. Anybody try it yet?

From earlier in the thread:
Here's some notes from my tasting of it back around Christmas. Overall, it's a pretty good one, but it's often a love/hate thing for many people.
Nose: Tanginess, forward corny notes, cocunut, maple syrup, honey
Taste: Much like it smells, tangy and corny, honey and maple flavors and black cherry flavor, sour then it becomes a little spicier and woody
Finish: Moderate length, maple syrup, smokey oak
On an aside, they're doing a great job of limiting the supply and getting more people talking about it. People are seeking the heck out of it. I just hope more of the distillers don't follow that suit like Pappy.
