I've only had it once and it was on the rocks and not in a tasting glass. I wasn't as impressed with it as the 17 and 18 years which were Stitzel Weller stock. The 21 is their own stock. It was good, but I'm not sure it deserves all the hype around it (which I think is largely lasting hype from the others). I probably wouldn't buy it for over $100 but that's what it's mostly fetching.

Thinking about buying a few more bottles this week. Maybe a bottle of stagg and ER17. Maybe EC 18 yr?
Where are you finding Stagg?

Bourbon exchange. Can't find them in the wild. But I believe I might have an inside trace to a distributer in br. Fingers crossed

Got a chance to try the Elijah Craig 12 Barrel Strength last night...
At 134 proof, it's got some heat to it, and one of the darkest colored bourbon's I've seen...but after one cube and a tiny splash of water to open it up, it's excellent. Deepest notes besides the initial oaky flavor were cinnamon & a hint of chocolate.
Worth a shot if you can hunt it down...

EC barrel proof was really, really good. Crazy how their barrel proof is 134 and regular is 90.

I really like this Jefferson's VSBSB. It has a flavor that reminds of that candy, Bit-O-Honey. Delicious

Found a store that can order Jefferson presidential select 21 for August. The retail price is $135 per bottle. Is this worth it?
I say NO. The JPS 21 from this year did not measure up to the JPS 17 or JPS 18. I also though that the JPS 18 did not quite measure up to the JPS 17. IMHO.

thats what I was thinking on the jps 21. I have a bottle of 18 that i have yet to open yet.

I picked up a couple of bottles of this in Florida. I have not seen it in Louisiana. Has anyone tried this? I haven't had the chance to crack one open.

I've got a bottle. I don't hate it but it is one of the last bottles I reach for and will stay mostly full for a long time.
Too sweet. Tastes more like a liqueur than bourbon.
