I dont think anybody is arguing that management is a bad thing. My point is that there are a lot more people with money into hunting now than there use to be.

I can tell you that in the last 10 years the deer numbers in my area are down. While killing a 130 or 140 inch deer is more common you dont see near as many in numbers. My biggest beef with management is the killing of does.

No its the popularity of trophy hunting. Everyone thinks their property has the potential to produce what they see on tv. I hunt on a lease that typically lets anything less than a six point walk but we are lucky if we take 2-3 trophy bucks a year.
