What is an acceptable grouping with an ar 15 at 75 yards with a red dot sight, no scope per say? I found 50 to 75 yards was quite a jump with the red dot, probably was doing about 3-3.5 inch groups but i was still kind of fine tuning in my sights.

Depends on the ammo, but you should be able to get those down. 3 is high for under 100 yards with the AR platform

With a red dot, that is pretty good IMO.
