Most people, especially in today's climate, use the AR platform for a home defense weapon. In my opinion I want quality components that are put through their paces.

And you can also find aluminum lowers for comparable prices to polymer with a little patience.

Buy once, cry once.

What are the pros to polymer in your opinion?

Not sure you realize it but some people in here are LE and can carry the weapons they are building, and some of us intend to do some pretty significant training and firing regimens with the weapons we are building.

That being said, poly lowers is a pure opinion choice, some like em, some dont. This argument has come up a few times in this thread, no reason to derail it again.
