I was looking for reasonable PMAG prices, and the best I could find was on cajunammo.com. 13 PMAGs in a Ammo Can for $167.25

The second to last page of mags from arpartsfinder (link in previous page) has some in the $10.50 range

I have some spare parts I may get rid of if anyone is interested for an upper build. Both brand new in factory packaging. Vltor MUR-1A upper receiver (same one Noveske uses on their rifles) and a BCM bcg.

...like the most difficult to come by upper in existence right now. And you've got one as a spare. I wish I was in the market right now.

Yeah i was in the habit of buying the rare shite in pairs when they popped up during all the nonsense. Used one for my 300BLK sbr build. This one is just collecting dust. Really nice uppers.

question:
What can you build an ar (bare bones) for right now? $600 or not yet? (talking assembled upper receiver, stripped lower, ect)

You could probably do it for that, but it wouldn't be anything to brag about.
ETA: you could build a complete PSA for 700 bucks right now based on their "daily deals." But that's for a basic upper. They had a nicer upper on a completed rifle last weekend for essentially 600 bucks (was around 1k but had a $400 aimpoint on it as well).

I'm interested, but I was not really planning on building the upper.
would this be something someone who has no experience could put together?

I want to get one soon. Will start paying attention to this thread to pick up deals

It's easy as long as you have the necessary tools (clamshell to hold the receiver in a vise and a barrel nut wrench). There are gauges to check head space once it's completed. I can't really say I would or would not advise giving it a go. I'm pretty handy and am a big do-it-yourselfer, so I felt comfortable doing it and have had no issues with my builds. The main bonus to building your own is you end up with a unique end result, mainly due to selecting some kind of billet receiver and whatever rail/foregrip you want.

good deal, i've got plenty of tools, will need to get a few special ones for this I'm sure though. so lets say I got both of those parts from you, what else would I need after that?
Posted on 7/17/13 at 6:01 pm to chickman1313
Barrel and muzzle device, charging handle, and whatever rail/foregrip you go with. That would get you a completed upper. I'm not sure I would want to do my first build with a Vltor receiver though, may want to start with a standard one.
ETA: forgot gas block and tube, and a barrel nut if your foregrip doesnt come with one.

That deal will come around again. I think we will continue to see better deals in the near future.
