He appears to be 5'11", which will hurt him no matter what year he comes out. Id love him to come back, but he aint getting any taller. Hes already been here 4 years, so i think hes gone. And he probably.should be, as much as we dont wa.t him to.

Any people in this thread who really follow the draft?

How does this year's probable LB class compare with next year's LB class?

Which is why he's not coming back. They will always have that question lingering over his head and he graduated. He has no reason to come back to LSU and avoid the draft. His stock will never soar because of his size.

All things considered, Mingo, Montgomery, Reid and possibly Logan will all be gone too. He's not going to take a chance at breaking in an entirely new dline next year. His production might go down because of that.

His height is gonna hurt his draft status but you can make a long career in the NFL at 5'11" to 6'0 range at MLB. Many great middle linebackers have been around that height. I can probably name at least 20 off the top on my head. Being too tall at the MLB position can be a huge detriment. Those guys tend to be shorter and more compact anyway. Leverage is important for them. He may not get drafted high but he will be a productive NFL player in my opinion. He is too smart a player.
