Ignoring history is invalid? Because in the past if a team like Ohio State was one of two undefeated teams they got into the championship game. The only time an undefeated team from a BCS conference was left out of the BCSBCG was when there were 3 undefeated teams in 2004.

Don't forget UC in 2009...the Big East is an AQ conference.
Same reason as Auburn but it's happened twice.
