I've not shot any CB caps, but I'd have a really hard time distinguishing a difference in the sound signature HP Shorts, CB Longs or "Quiet-22". Tried to test it one time w/ my Radio Shack sound meter, but it didn't work. Saw an episode of "Gun Talk" on tv a few weeks ago where they compared muzzle blast of 22 CB Long and "Quiet-22." They were in mid 90's decibes. Can't remember which was loudest, but was only one dB difference.
