From the deadspin comments...

Parker does a great homage to Jeff Foxworthy: "If your name has Roman numerals in it, you might be a cornball brother.

After reading the transcript of what each one of them said, it's silly that this was even brought up on First Take (though not surprising).
RGIII made some pretty benign comments, not really much to see there.
Rob Parker says something controversial, because that's what his producer told him to do.
Stephen A disagreed with him, but only kind of, and really just talked in a circle without making much of a point.
Seems like they were just trying to drum up controversy where there was none. Not unlike they normally do.

But, Parker has a rap sheet for doing stuff like this.

Lol! Now Russel Wilson is a cool mutha! It's a vibe bruh. I'm still trying to think of a good example of corny. Ok let's see Russel Wilson will probably hang with his boys to the wee hours scoping on chicks and popping shots laid back having fun. RGIII not so much he would probably leave us to go play Final Fantasy!

Wow, Rob Parker is a moron. I sort of heard it earlier, and SAS and the host both seemed offended.
Secondly, RG3 can do better than this. I realize he looks like Kel from Good Burger
But, he is RG3. He is a bad mother fricker. He can get better women.
Third, I want to do the host of First Take.

Wilson would probably be at home with his wife reading the Bible. RGIII would probably hang out and tell bad jokes.

This guy is an absolute moron. What is RG III supposed to do? What exactly is the "cause" in which he speaks of? What is the white person cause?

comon now we know there are different types of black males?
Yes, just like we have different kinds if whites, Asians and Mexicans.
Why is RGIII's "type" worthy of commentary?

*Rittdog steps out of self ban in order to drop some knowledge*
Rob Parker is taking a comment by RG3 and using his perception of RG3 as reason to leap to the conclusion that he's.....a "sell out"
Parker made the mistake of assuming that RG3's comment represented a lack of "blackness" thus creating a strawman. RG3 was responding as if he wants to be looked at as QB on the field. Not just a black QB. This caused Parker to take jabs at RG3's personal life.
In reality, RG3 is nothing more than a geek. He's a different kind of guy. The socks, the bad braids, the awkward laugh that he has. The wearing of a "Michael Jackson glove" at a practice or workout. Overall he's a cool dude....but a geek. One could argue that Russell Wilson has more "swag" than RG3. Both great guys. Both are married/engaged to white women and have different views on life. But thats their personal choices. Who gives a frick?
Instead of Parker leaping to the conclusion that RG3 had a lack of blackness. Why couldnt he just be ok with RG3 being a geek, but a cool guy at the same time. As far as calling him a cornball...he answered his own question. Ok he's corny...but that doesnt make him less black. And just because such discussions take place in a barber shop in Detroit doesnt mean that the conversation is universal. I dont know, I dont think all black people view RG3 that way..or give a damn. Just my guess. Not sure all whites feel that way either, I dont give a damn.
The question is....Is RG3 non threatening to white people? Well yes. He's different than Michael Vick (Im not talking about dog fighting, etc). Rob Parker seems to prefer black QBs have a little edge to them based on the plight of the black QB. But his opinion doesnt make it fricking so. I find it odd that he knocks RG3 or people do that....when the original(s) who open the doors for blacks in sports where Joe Louis, Jessie Owens and Jackie Robinson. Those guys who also happened to be of similar in public perception (not meaning geek, like RG3, but just guys who a great perception in the media/public)
Not everybody is supposed to be Ali, Rob Parker!
Bottom line. No matter what color we are we should not only be accepting of all races, but accepting of all personalties. Not be quick to make one feel less for who they are.
