what is it with you and quotes?
They serve many purposes, including exposing people that like to ignore things or put words in others' mouths, such a yourself.

Also, Derenbecker hardly plays at Dayton, Dotson hardly plays at Utah... Awesome recruits TJ!
Yea dude! Ben Voogd killed it at Oregon! Regis Koundja did it big at George Washington!
What happened to all those names just running off the top of your head? Was this your official waive the white flag post or something? Wait, didn't you say you were responding to something like an hour ago because you didn't have time to? How many posts have you made since then?

This is a little confusing. You asked for examples of teams who played well for new coaches, then brought back to reality after the emotional high. So I gave you a few examples... You then said this ^^^
No, no I didn't. This is what I asked for:
"Wow, you just keep sinking to new lows. I'd LOVE if you could go find me an example of another team, in any sport, that fired its coach mid-season, played noticeably better after they fired him, then returned basically the same team the year after and improved by so much it's hard to even quantify it. Oh, and I almost forgot: the coach that was fired has to be better than the new coach that took them to such great success. This should be very easy, you know since history has proven it."
You being illiterate does not make me confused.

Sure you can. Just go back and answer all the things you have ignored and/or quit responding to. Prove me wrong.

Yet he took the same team Brady had in 07-08 that didn't win 5 conference games and in 08-09 won the SEC and won an NCAA tournament game, and gave the eventual national champion the toughest game in the NCAA Tournament.
But you're right he wasn't as good as Brady.
except Johnson missed like 7 or 8 games right in the middle of the schedule.
and Tasmin Mitchell didn't play after the 3rd game of the season
But you're right. You know a ton about LSU basketball obviously.

the only thing I'll thank Trent for is improving the team's APR. Besides that, he did nothing but drive the program further into the ground.

6 games, and he was there for the blowout loss to Wichita state and the first loss to Tulane in 25+ years. And the team was 7-6 before the first game he missed.

And Anthony Randolph played the entire season.

I just wish I could've acted like a retard in the front row of he student section. Then my knowledge would know no bounds as yours clearly does.

If you believe the team is doing well this year, this simply doesn't make sense.

to be honest, comparing season to season is retarded anyway no matter which side of the coin you're arguing. Sports just don't work like that.

oh! getting personal! you must be a real tough guy. god forbid students cheer for their team!

ok ok... he recruited a couple decent guys. He just couldn't do anything with them. This team would have 2 losses already with TJ still here and you know that shite is true.
btw, are you eellessuuu's alter? You know, the guy I responded to saying HE didn't know shite about LSU basketball yet you quoted it like I was talking to you?

Dawg. LSU sucked with TJ. They were very good with Brady. And are looking very good with JJ. I AM FREAKING DONE WITH YOU! Have a good night sir, and as always...

They were very inconsistent with Brady
biggest knock on Brady. Had a couple great seasons and one or two good ones but the ones between were I think johnny is a much better fit for this job than both of them. but at point in the TJ era I was wishing for Brady. And that's bad because it was more than time for him to go.

Definitely true.. However, they did have top recruits coming in every year it seemed. TJ's best was O'Bryant (# 46 player via rivals.com). Still not quite sure how he pulled that one off.
In 4 years, TJ's best recruit was JOB3. No knock on JOB, I love that guy but come on, 4 years, and not a single guy in the top 45? We are LSU! Shaq, Pete Maravich, Bob Petit, Chris Jackson, Rudy Macklin, Jabari Smith, Glen Davis, Stromile Swift, Brandon Bass, Tyrus Thomas, Anthony Randolph, Marcus Thornton.
And I'm sure a few other guys I left out.
There is no reason LSU should have to compete for recruits with the Ole Miss's and Auburns out there. The PMAC is one of the finest places to play in the SEC.
Trent Johnson completely misfired on numerous recruits and deserved to be let go.

Brady really fricked up when he didn't sign ANYONE coming off of the Final 4.

Normally no. But in this case, we are literally swapping one player for another player, with essentially the same stats. As I said earlier I can concede Mitchell's edge in experience was more valuable than Randolph's edge in talent, enough for a couple games of improvement. But not +14 games. Not enough for a team to go from not making the NIT to would have been sweet 16 had they not gotten such a shitty seed.

You did it as well. My method was more direct, the intended meaning was the same.

Actually I don't. Despite popular, unfounded opinion, last yearJohnson's team OOC beat the teams they were supposed to beat, the way they were supposed to beat them, with the exception of South Alabama and won multiple games against respectable teams. So far this years team has beaten the teams they are supposed to beat, the way they were supposed to beat them, with the exception of NW St, and beaten 1 semi-respectable team.
The quality of the schedule up to this point is pretty terrible, there is no reason to think they couldn't be 6-0 with Johnson. I'll concede they would not have been as fun and exciting to watch, but that doesn't automatically mean they lose games.

Actually, I didn't. But you can't even see who is responding to who here. Unless you're an alter which I assume you are considering you have been posting here for one month and know I sat on the front row 6 years ago.

would have lost to NW St and Seton Hall IMO and I have no doubt about that.
don't forget last year we lost to Coastal Carolina and a pretty average Northwestern team. And were totally thrashed by Oregon.

Riveting, fact supported tale there big guy.
And so once again, we revert back to all of the posts you continue to ignore. Why did Johnson have such great success with a team Brady failed so miserably with it got him fired?
