How is Tech a better job than Colorado?
At best, you're the fourth best program in the state behind Texas, A&M and TCU.
Colorado is a job waiting for someone who knows what they're doing to take over. Could be a special special program.

Probably because the coach receives some modicum of support from the athletic department and university.

CU is short a few things before it can be special again. Namely a new president, a new AD, and a vocal powerful booster club/alumni to talk over the incessant bad mouthing from the faculty.

Colorado's problems are bigger than just the HC. Plus given the complete lack of in-state talent they'll never be a special program again. Even if they get out of their current hole Oregon/USC/UCLA recruiting Cali at a high level will keep Colorado down somewhat.

Neither one are great jobs, but you have to think Colorado is in the process of giving up on athletics
