This is LSU and there's not much that some other school can offer that we can't.

Bama can offer nearly everything we can plus more. I love LSU and recruiting but this is a reality. We lost our top 2 in-state kids to Bama last year. Now they're going to play big roles next year there. Devall wasn't as big of a loss as Collins IMO. We've got the LB core in last years class anyway.

I think when it's all said and done, Devall will be the bigger loss

We lost a safety, regardless of how talented he was, safeties grow on trees in LA

Toshiro Davis was the biggest loss last season

bullshite. Unless KB is interested in preferential treatment like an easier schedule, an undeserved rematch, or undeserved post season recognition, then lsu has everything bama has to offer.

Collins still comes in as their 4th safety next year. Devall seems like he will be a nice player for them but he's one that wasn't a good fit for what he was looking for. He's a de in our system but wanted to play LB. Shiro and Collins both strung lsu out and are complete bitches in the way they handled their recruitment. Lsu still gets more instate players than any other home state school, @ around 80-85% of offered kids. Even your god didn't get them all.

Here's the problem I have with this statement. While I won't dispute Collins was a the top in the state, I don't believe Devall was second. The problem with recruiting is that ESPN and some of the other sites are basing their "rankings" based on how certain teams are offering kids. I don't think we lost out on Devall, becasue we brought in a monster class at LB last year.

It's the same with other recruits.....we aren't going to get every single great player from the state. It's the same with every other college in the country. Ohio State doesn't get all the ones from Ohio, Bama doesn't get all the ones from Bama, Texas won't get all the best from Texas, etc. Instead of worrying about who we don't get, focus on who we do get and let's see how good we are going to be. Reality is, Bama will be near the top of the SEC while Saban is there, unless they get hit with sanctions. Reality is, LSU will be near the top of the SEC while Miles is here, barring any NCAA issues. We are going to get great recruits from other states, we are going to lose some LA talent to other states. Deal with it and move on.
