You guys must not look past the surface. Just check the list of injuries and the scores of their losses. He isn't the best coach in the world, but they have come a LONG way in the last three years. They were the worst team in football in ages four years ago.

Bear in mind that the Lions are down at least one RB, who may never play football again, and down pretty much their entire secondary. They were hiring guys off the waiver wire and putting them right on the field they were so depleted at one point this season. All that said, Schwartz gets one more year, based on the Lions resurrection from the dead. He has to fix the D, and the excuses won't work 2 years in a row.

With some good offseason moves (which the Lions have actually handled better the last two years), they could fix the issues on D and in the run game. Just look at the last minute losses to quality teams. At least three this season. They just need those two areas addressed, and they can become a legit contender.

6 straight losses, sitting at 4-10 this year. Falcons and the Bears to finish the season. 4-12 season looks extremely likely. at best 5-11 losing 7 of 8 games. I know they just gave Schwartz an extension in June, but his job can't be safe, right?
