I am satisfied with the season.

I am, however, a little disturbed by the fact that for the second year in a row, not playing in the SECCG has be benefited a team (Bama last year and UF this year).

Hopefully this won't be a trend.

The Egg:
"The thought by everyone in the nation was that if LSU ever got a competent QB, then nobody's standing in the way of LSU winning a title. "

We put to much pressure on our inexperienced underperforming QBs! That's the only reason we don't consistently win it all.

pretty sure that's not the only reason.

Yeah! They should've put a stop to that nonsense right after the 2007 sugar bowl!

the situational playcalling leaves a lot to be desired though.
this right here should frustrate anyone more than anything.

there isn't a consistent flow in the playcalling...at all.

No! Had LSU not called off the dogs and gone to the prevent defense against Alabama, they might well be in the national championship game.

Don't like it, but I'll live with it. Really no other choice.

no doubt, we benefitted big time.

but, like A&M is this year, we were the hottest team in the country in 2006.

(parallel to why the bigger bowls wanted a&m this year)

Have fun camping out for your fricking Peach Bowl tickets.

The truth is that if anyone had posted on this board before the season that we would be playing in the Peach Bowl, they'd have been trashed by everyone for being too negative. Now that it's happened, you assholes act like it's all good. Y'all are fricking pathetic.

Great talent, facilities and fan support. Shame that we had sub par coaching resulting in a sub par season. The worst part is that we gave a pay raise and are stuck with him for seven years. Great news for Saban and the rest of the SEC coaches.

Holy shite! We lost 2 games to the #'s 2 and 3 ranked teams by a grand frickin total of 12 points. We lost 8 starters and played the 2nd most freashman of any team while with a new quarterback

Last year, A.J. McCarron was a new quarterback. We had the team to win a fricking national championship and we are playing in the Peach Bowl. If you are satisfied with that, YOU are the fricking idiot.

We barely beat one of the worst Auburn teams in the past half century. We struggled against a 1-AA opponent at home. We scrapped by some of the bottom feeders in the SEC this year during the last few weeks of the season.

And we're headed to the Chick-Fil-A bowl. Again.

Now let's put this in context - we're going on 5 years now without a win in a BCS game. Do elite programs go 5+ years without a significant bowl victory? How many excuses are we going to continue to make?

Last year we didn't have a QB. This year we had a QB, but he wasn't experienced enough. And the injuries. Next year, the excuse will be that we lost too much on the defensive side of the ball, and that the schedule was too difficult. The year after that, we'll have another new starter at QB, so there's another excuse.

better question for the OP to ask is whether or not we are content with the season/bowl selectoin.

But... LSU won 10 games! And they beat A&M! How dare they get picked over us!

And no, I don't care that they are playing better than us and are more fun to watch! I don't care that they have the likely Heisman winner running their offense! I don't care that nobody outside of LSU fans wants to watch LSU play! We won 10 games damnit!!

Yep. 7-year contract for Miles = 7 national championships for Alabama.

Dude we get it. You think we sucked.

Now if you want anyone on the thread to respect your opinion, then start respecting theirs.

When excuses are deemed a satisfactory substitute for championships, excuses are all you'll get. They're easier.

It's just unsettling that half the LSU fans are content with 10 win seasons and Chick-Fil-A bowls, stating that, "You can't win it all every year", when Alabama seems to be doing just that.

the danger is that some/most are settling for status quo and being content with being less than bama
