I would stay near a Chik-fil-A restaurant for convenient.

........best place to stay is at the Omni Hotel or hotels near the Dome. You are right next to the bowl parade route, can walk to the game and have plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

For the North Carolina game and the SEC Championship game last year, I stayed at the Omni Hotel right at CNN. Great hotel and location. Highly recommend it.

I'd say less than 8,000 fans actually drive from Louisiana to make this trip.

I'm staying at my house but I only live 40 minutes north. I don't get many chances to make the games so I'll definitely be there.
