Sorry blues. I know everyone is trying to look for good things, but it's hard to find it in this defense. Philly and Oakland are not good teams. San Fran has a second year QB who looked like that today, but looked like Steve Young against us. 1 forced fumble, 2 sacks, 1 interception and 737 yards allowed in two games against Atlanta.

I'm not saying they aren't doing better. Only that they couldn't possibly have done worse then they started and they are still below average.

Blast away. This defense still isn't stopping the run and not playing defense worth getting excited about.

The only thing I can say positive is that every game they get absolutely run over at the beginning of the game and then make adjustments and play better towards the end.

That's a bullshite way of looking at things and you know it.

They couldn't possibly have done worse than they started.
Ok, but they could have not improved at all.

We've held plenty of teams in last several weeks to below their average ppg.
Atlanta is just one of them.

the defense played outstanding against Atlanta this past week and kept us in the game

bad teams were destroying the D early in the year

their defense againt Philly, Oakland, and atlanta is worth getting excited about. We shut Atlanta's run game down after the 1st series.

Their second half vs Atlanta was as dominant of a defensive performance as I've seen from this team in a long time. Atlanta is no joke on offense, and to hold them to 2 field goals, and less than 100 yards in the 2nd half was remarkable. If not for a freak game by Drew, we blow them out and are singing a different tune today.
