Agreed.
Some programs are so well funded and have such a strong history/tradition that they are not desperate enough to reach out to a black coach. Hiring a black coach just isn't a huge priority. The advancement of black coaches is usually just a top priority among those that are black.

This is complete horse shite. The way I see it, no coach should be hired or not because of the color of their skin (or their spouse's skin). Skin color shouldn't be celebrated just as much as it shouldn't be abhorred. To suggest that only desperate schools hire black coaches is ignorant at best.
The problem is that most of the good black coaches stay in the NFL where the Rooney rule gives them a much better shot at a good job. There really isn't much of a track record for black head coaches at big name college programs outside of Willingham at Notre Dame.
