Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu, mewithoutYOU, At the Drive-In, Glassjaw, early Thursday, early Thrice, Refused, La Dispute, Snapcase.
I throw those out there, but genres are really subjective. Some people will disagree with me about some or all of those being post-hardcore. That's cool. Some other bands that are even more contentious would be bands like Circle Takes the Square, pg. 99, City of Caterpillar, Sunny Day Real Estate, Hot Cross, and Rites of Spring.
Going even further afield, you have bands like Daughters, but they're pretty grindy.
I hate all of the genres because there's really no consensus about what bands fall under what category. Half if not more of those can have viable arguments made for them being post-hardcore, classic emo, or classic screamo.
Sorry there's not more metalcore in the bands I listed, I kinda grew out of the phase. Oh, and most of these bands are pretty much out of the scene. Classic post-hardcore is a dying breed.
