I don't know, that's why I'm asking. Does the sheriff deputy HAVE to do what she asks?

I will say that it is easy to confuse jingoism with patriotism. For what it's worth, I was close friends with her when I was younger, and she has always been passionate about that school. As a student, in addition to being an outstanding student, she was a great ambassador for the school. Hell, if memory serves me correct, she may have even been a cheerleader/mascot.
Now she is the principal, and I cannot imagine someone being more passionate about their school as an administrator than Nichole (Dr. Bourgeois).
Now I don't know anything about the coach from Live Oak, but if she thought that her school was at a disadvantage because of some rule which stated that you had to clear a field a certain amount of time before a game, you bet your arse she would do what she needed to give her school an advantage or prevent a disadvantage.
Some may refer to her as a c-word, but I assure you, she would lay down in traffic for that school and those students. If she was your principal or your child's principal, you may not condone having an opposing coach handcuffed, but you'd have to admit that it would get your football team ready to play some football.

It was on "her" field so I guess if she wanted to have someone arrested/detained for trespassing that's on her and not the police.
Certainly the officer on duty didn't decide to intervene for shits and giggles.

I wonder how passionate the school board will be about her if they have to make a payout on the lawsuit filed by the coach.

Yeah, I hope this does not escalate into an ego war over someone not "respecting her authoritah" vs. getting removed from a football field in handcuffs

bullshite. If I was playing I'd be distracted and embarrassed by my principal making an arse of herself.

Two different things
1. No. That's why the police department will be sued too.
2. She put the officer in that situation. That cop never should have been having to ponder her request.

I understand that the coach was not arrested, but removed from the field. He was able to continue, right?
I was not there, but I picture a high school cheering section blow up before a football game seeing an opposing coach removed from a football field in handcuffs.
I remember when Auburn stomped on the Eye of the Tiger at midfield one year before the coin-toss, and we onside kicked the ball on the opening kickoff, the crowd knew "it was on".

Apples, oranges. One team doing something that's deemed "taunting" is not analogous to an administrator keeping a team from being able to warm up and getting law enforcement involved to prevent it from happening.
Sorry, nothing redeeming about what she did. She should be fired and sent to work as a Wal-Mart greeter or something.

So you haven't known this woman since HS? You know people change and often become pricks when they get power.

The funniest part about this is Parkway thinks people give a frick about their band playing before the game. Seriously.. It's high school.
Parkway may be an exception to that, as the band is a big part of the program. When i went to Parkway, we won 3 games my entire 4 years, yet people still came out to see the band and the dance line.

Something brought out today is that the Parkway students had handcuffs in the student section BEFORE Tut was taken off the field. They posted pictures with the handcuffs on Facebook before the game. Why would students bring handcuffs to the game? They also had "Here Comes Goodbye" ready to play as soon as the principal set foot on the field. Looks like the whole thing was planned.

You may be right, George, but my first statement was that it was easy to confuse jingoism with patriotism.

Live Oak Principal - during the hearing.

She had copies from the students' FB pages.

If true, then she shouldn't have a job come Monday.
I mean, that's incredibly poor judgement and she has the students in on it and celebrating it?
Wow.

She stated that she didn't monitor the FB pages of students and was unaware of the photos or posts.

Coincide then? Seems unlikely.
