Ever good program out there is trying to improve thier staff continuously.
Those who rank in the bottom half of the NCAA in either offense or defense know that they must make significant changes if they want to be champions.
How do we compare by those standards?

No....... But you have to plan ahead. I was thinking before this pay raise and extension, Go after Petrino for O.C./H.C. in waiting. Then hire a young up and comer (that Petrino can mold) as the Qb coach. LSU could have the best of both worlds, a strong recruiter and a great X's and O's coach plus have someone being groomed when the elder statesmen step aside. Same thing needs to happen on the defensive side, then hit repeat when everybody moves upward. Just aas the well-spring of talent keeps flowing on the field needs to happen in the coach's box too, Then LSU won't have to be overly concerned about some one coming after Miles.

No, but an offense that looks rutterless at times and consistently ranks in the 90s or above should hire an offensive coordinator.
