Some people have a miserable life and just gripe about everything. I think the Debbie Downer applies. Get behind your team (including the coaches) or there are plenty of other schools to cheer for in the state. It's LSU not Bitch About Miles University

Been behind miles100% since he became LSU HC. I sure wouldnt want to be in front of him . New contract = big chubby for Les

When Les stops running our 87th ranked offense I''ll support him 100%. Why can't Les lovers see he's keeping this team from being great with his conservative and predictable play calling?

Blah blah blah. We have been frustrating offensively for like a decade now. You either think Miles gets the most out of the talent or you don't.

Miles is a great game day coach. I only say this because he has won 85 out of 105 games. That's not luck and that is no accident. It's preparation and hard work. We run a grinding ground game that kills clock and keeps our D fresh to beat down teams late in the game. It's very effective. I only believe this because we are in the top ten every year and under Miles we have been to two NC games. Saban made us good, Miles has made us a dominant power house. And the guy is a phenomonal recruiter. In 105 games under Miles we have only been outplayed a handful of times and no one wants to play us at home.

I mean I love LSU football, was bred in it but to me has a shorter leash now. With a salary like that you better win a championship in the next three-five years. If not it would be a waste of some serious money.

integrity
This is not one of miles qualities. A man of integrity would fullfil a contract he signed without using bullshite jobs every other year to gain a raise

You realize that some of the most prolific offenses in school history have come from miles' teams??

tigervato , i see him being so conservative because it seems the players have a hard executing the simple plays. And we sure can blame the players not executing on his coaching. This coming from a Miles supporter btw.

Is that supposed to invalidate the assertion that we have been offensively frustrating? B/c it doesn't. You cherry pick stats to form your opinion, ill watch the games to form mine, and we can all believe what we want.
Miles has had a couple of great teams and many that seriously underperformed their potential. IMO of course.
I think we will look back at 2004-2010 as the period in which we missed our opportunity to become the dominant force in the SEC. Instead, by playing unattractive football and squandering championship opportunities, we let Bama take back the top spot. Quick, quote his W-L record to change my mind.

We found ourselves being a one dimensional running team,w which while it works is nice but when they are stacking the box and you run the ball because you don't think our QB can throw? That's a problems.
We threw more this year than the previous 3 seasons.

No team is. And no bama has won the sec once since 04. Lsu has played 3 times and won twice. And yeah, sabans 04 offense is worse than every miles offense minus 09. 02 offense was worse than anything mikes has put on the field. 04 we could have lost 5 or 6 games. Close calls against oregon state, uf and ole miss. Saban cost us an sec titke in 02 and 04.

Meh he hired the coaches and recruited the players. If anything hes the reason this team is good and why ur expectations are high. Players arent nfl ready the day they step foot on campus. Some coaching had to happen.

So you wanted first year starting QB, RB, WRs, and most the Oline to run anything but a conservative offense? Please tell me more of your amazing coaching knowledge.
We ran a way less conservative offense than last year.

I agree. In many ways Miles took what he inherited and made it better. I just think he has innate qualities that keep him from getting the most out of it on the field. Miles shut up the nationwide criticism of him by winning so many games, but the things that drew that ridicule of him in the first place are still there, b/c he is still himself.
And he's going to be here forever, fielding teams that win a lot of games but look bad doing it. Yippee.

The only reason people are jumping on Miles is because of his personality. All the great coaches make the same mistakes as Miles but because he comes off as goofy they are less forgiving.
Last year Saban got outcoached and lost to a less talented team on 11/3 and needed a whole lot of luck to get them into the NC game. .

Sabans teams had the same problem. Go back and look at 2002 and 2004 seasons.
