re: Who was LSU's last superstar offensive player?

All were at least 6 or 7 years ago. My point is that those schools are known for their offensive superstars more than defensive. I wasn't saying they never have a good defensive player. Vice versa with LSU.

It'll take a couple of developmental years in the league, of course, just like every other skill player from the Miles era.
Bowe, Randle, Ridley, Doucet - all did fine from day one.

While Lee was starting RR lit up the SEC and was leading the league in REC YDS. Beast

I don't think you know the definition of a "superstar". Very very few college players are ever considered that. RG3 last year, Maziel this year. 5 maybe 10 a year at the most. Not all of them pan out in the NFL either. LSU has had great players while in school and in the pros. Maybe your definition of superstar is different from everybody else.

Yeah. Josh Reed put up insane numbers but I wouldn't consider the buzz he received superstar level even though he won the Biletnikoff.

How do you define superstar?

And of course, "for whatever reason," Lee did not continue to start or even play much and LSU was saddled with a guy who took special ed classes in HS, had no real pro prospects and who recently got arrested for helping to poison the life of a true, rising star (on defense, though, of course).

And so it was, in the year of Our Lord 2012, that blueboy was able to find the answer to the eternal question: "Just how fricking stupid are you people?"

Well, when you don't define your parameters, it's not surprising at all that others' suggestions don't meet them.
And to be clear, when you continue not to define your parameters any better than the vague-as-frick term "superstar" and mock people for not making suggestions that fit whatever criteria you're using and not telling anyone, you're not making anyone else look "fricking stupid."
So, again, what the hell does "superstar" offensive player mean?

85 and 20 and you got Les for 7 more years
I hope you and your bandwagon friends can survive.
The reason I love Les at LSU is because of what he does to people like you.
Going to be a tough long 7 years. Les even said in the presser that he feels young and hopes he will be signing another deal after this one. You and your friends are frickED...Oh and Leslie is STTTTAAAACCCCKKKKEEEEDDDD

You'll get it eventually. Until then, enjoy our predetermined "place." 2ndTier4Life

You've gotten multiple people saying JaMarcus Russell - who to be sure has not been an NFL superstar, but by your stated criteria (Les Miles era, performed well in college) fits the bill. Guy was the #1 QB in America his last year here and drafted #1 overall. You didn't even reply to it. Didn't reply to Stevan Ridley being suggested, either.
shite, the only clarification we've gotten at all was that Rueben Randle was good, but not good enough for your criteria. So whoever it is has to have outdone Randle, which knocks out a lot of LSU's players.
I'm going with JaMarcus Russell (2006 if you want a specific season) as the first option. Not sure anyone else really outdid Randle so completely to be a "superstar" and not Randle.

You don't know what that word means either. Cognitive dissonance, look it up, you have a raging case of it. Similar to your herpes outbreaks

TM7 was a rockstar at LSU big reason why he thought he was bigger than the law.

I'm fairly certain I answered your dumbass earlier, but carry on like a fool. At the end of the day, Les Miles is still our coach!

Thread is for offensive players. But yeah a big part of him getting in trouble was from all the attention he was getting, it was well deserved, just too much to handle for the majority of people, yet alone a 19 year old
