The sniper mechanics was also complete shite in BLOPS 1. It seems that smooth sniping cant exist without quickscoping.
I thought of an option for fixing quickscoping, which would also resolve the panic knifing dilemma. You cannot fire a sniper rifle or melee if you are taking bullet damage. Seems like a realistic fix to me, but idk.

I would jimp is they removed panic knifing while getting shot
