Yes, what they do is remove the barral from the action of a older mauser. It could be from 1919. One can buy those rifes for under $100.
I shot a couple rebuids. Nice, but I don't think you will find one under $700 if it is any good.
Rem 700 is a good rife. I would go that way. Way cheaper in the long run.
