Chris Clemons, Dumervil, Bruce Irvin, Freeney, Umenyiora, even Junior Galette are all successful undersized 4-3 DEs. We were slobbering pretty hard at the thought of getting similar sized Aldon Smith in 2011 before he zoomed up the charts.

It did seem like a disappearing act for Mingo this year. What's the take from the LSU Jack Handeys?

You have a good comparison with Aldon Smith coming out of college. Smith was a huge let down during the season before he got drafted. Mingo has also proven that he can stay healthy which is something Smith didn't do. Scouts will likely salivate over Mingo after his combine workout despite his down year.
