but none will have the track record Miles has.
Miles didn't have a track record either, we took a HUGE chance on the guy.

LSU is in a completely different place than the Nebraska's of the world. We have momentum, high visibility, recruiting, no in state rival, money, facilities, etc all on our side. Do you guys really beleive that no good coach will want to come here? What planet are you living on? It's a coaches dream to come here and just pick up the ball and start running with it. You don't have to rebuild anything, it's the same thing Miles did when he came here, just continue rolling.

I think all the same people that has been unhappy with 10 win seasons better be careful what they wish for. It's not like LSU can just snap their finger and a superb coach is just going to all of the sudden jump as high as they say. Have you guys seen the talent pool as far as head coaching names at this point? To think that LSU can just snag anyone from a lateral job is jus arrogant and irresponsible. LSU is not immune to becoming an average program. (See Alabama recently, Tennessee, Texas, USC)

If Miles goes to Arkansas, that'd be Saban AND Miles taking recruits out of Louisiana. Both have strong ties across the state and if you think that the '13 class wouldn't just fall sort with those OOS recruits, you're crazy.

Then, with as strong as the '14 class is as well, I think that wouldn't be as strong without Miles also.

There are so many subplots here that people just aren't thinking bout because they dislike Miles despite his record. Like some people are saying, you guys better be careful what you wish for.

i bet you could find a lot of Nebraska/Tennessee/USC/Alabama/Michigan fans that said the same thing over the past 15 years.

Well WHO??
Lets look at some of the best names, shall we?
Stoops, Miles has a better track record, next
Meyer, not happening
Sumlin, has a Heisman candidate for a QB, that makes any coach look good (Chizik, anyone)
Kelly, no thanks.

There were plenty of successful programs who's coaches left them that made great hires at the time, then go on to fail.

Yes it's possible that a new guy would come in here and keep things rolling, but it's just as likely that a new guy will come in and fail. A good coach at a different program now, doesn't equate to success at LSU. It's not just a simple plug and play.
