1. Trusting Mett at the tail end of the year.

2. The RB out of the backfield...wheel routes or option routes were killer to ware. the occasional screen did damage as well.

3. The Sluggos...meh, worked some games, others it didn't. i thought we'd see one in every game to be honest.

4. The evolution of the OL, especially the right side.

5. Hill as your #1 back.

6. Jacobs and Dickson as your pass-catching TE's over Clement.

7. The occasional Shepard jet sweep which was severely underutilized.

anything else?

covered it pretty well. its a shame we didn't do all those more often. I felt we went away from the backs to much against arky.

Id also like to see our guys like obj and landry running more slants and outs those seemed to work pretty well once we trusted mett. The team has all kinds of potential to be so good if we would really play to our actual strength instead of trying to make something that is a weakness a strength.

Specifically in the running game: Hill following Copeland's lead block.

Id like us to get better at using talented freshman early in the year. We do it on d allowing kids that have the talent to make an impact early do it but on o we lack behind and wait until we have lost a game before trying something like giving a young guy a shot.

TE up the middle was probably the most efficient play all year

Whoever calls the plays learning about this new thing the screen pass to a RB instead of a @#%$@#! bubble screen to a WR. I think I saw it maybe 4 times? It worked pretty well everytime.

I think that using JC as a runner really opened up a lot of things on offense. The screen to him in the Bama game was a wonderful call.

I think you are not only wrong, but you should be banned for uttering such nonsense. Every carry for Copeland outside of the 2 yard line is wasted.

It was a play action pass, and we should use more true play action passes.

think using him in spurts and situationally is great.

but sometimes, he was called on a 3rd and 3 or 4, with really no chance at success.

i'd like to see something better called in that situation

Yeah, it seemed forced at times.

Well then we agree to disagree?
When you add another threat for a defense to account for, it creates mismatches. How is this not common sense? Opposing defenses could not just assume he was the blocking back on every play.

I liked Copeland catching the ball as long as it wasn't 3rd and 8 in the red zone vs UF with him nursing a knee injury.

I thought the offense showed good improvement as the year went on but lets face it they had no where to go but up. A CONSISTENT offense in my opinion is what is holding this team back and this staff has not shown me anything to make me think they warrant being retained in their current roles.

Don't you mean the "back end" of the year? That is how Les would say it...

If I had time, I'd look up Copeland's total carries, his average yards per carry, and his longest carry of the season. There were zero mismatches when Copeland got the ball. Off of the top of my head, I'm thinking his longest rush of the year is about 5 yards.

Nothing wrong with that.
