I'll take execution over creativity any day. The difference between the good offensive games and the bad ones wasn't play calling. The same plays that only put up 200 yards against Florida were the plays that put up 440 against Alabama.

No stats to support this but it just seemed like we had a different tack vs Bama than with UF. As a minimum I'm pretty sure we used Hill more vs Bama.

As for the OP not recalling any "brilliant" play calls I think this is overstatement. There were some. Not many, but some.

My overarching concerns/points:
a) It took 8 games into the season before our O seemed to find its groove. That's too long. I think this goes back to '08 and Les not willing to trust things to the O until he has to.
b) Our O struggled in the RZ and in points territory all year.
c) I for one am perplexed how a team like OM could field a more proficient O than us with a 1st ye coach, a QB fresh out of JC, and by most indications a talent level below ours. Can anyone explain this?
d) Les's approach is "I don't have to take risks on O when I have a great D and ST's" when it should be "I can afford to take some risks on O because I have a great D and ST's."
e) A little bit more proficiency on O and we're playing this Saturday.
