I'm going to guess it had to do with being able to protect the QB. When the O-line plays well in pass pro, we're able to run more routes, when they don't you are pretty limited to what routes you can run.

The offense this year was only as good as it's line.

I think the light bulb finally came on in the heads of our WRs in terms of how to run the routes. And getting a TE who can catch into the mix helped.

Agreed that was part of it, but the playcalling at the beginning of the year didnt help them any either. RB screens would have done us a lot of good at that point of the season but were pretty much non existent.
