South has more schools also, talent is spread around more. In NOLA talent is spread all over and there are quite a few 4A and lower schools. Say Karr and Walker were both closed and 1 large school was opened in Algiers, there would be unreal talent at that school....still would need coaching and discipline.
Nola has more schools because it is a bigger metro area.... per capita number of schools vs number of students... therefore athletes is the same....

Y'all at LSU Baseball camp today? I'm at Disney, but heard my nephew had a great day yesterday. Coach Davis came and talked to his guardians for a while after he hit. Thought he was a freshman, was shocked when he was told he's in 7th.
