He is buried on the depth chart. That means there are others playing the position better than him recruited in the same class or earlier classes. If Bama could get enough players better than Collins to keep him buried, then why do you assume they can't recruit a better player, or even players, this year or next?

I watched Collins a few times in high school, and he was easily the best athlete on the field, but he was never the best football player. I hope he learns to become a better football player, but I won't be shocked if he never cracks the starting lineup at Bama.
