I think he consistently makes NFL quality throws, which is something. He has great WRs, but it is a give/take in how good he makes them look and vice versa.

I think he is first round good, regardless of his numbers this year (he has been making great throws there for 40 games)

he really is. woudl not shock me if he felt out of the top 5.

he is not big. at all. he goes apeshit at the smallest bit of pressure, and any throw that requires him to put some mustard on the ball looks like freaking danny warrfuel. well not htat bad but you get mny point. he's a right handed versino of Matt lienhart maybe not so much the party animal. I dont' think he's a bust but i don't think he's a prototypical franchise QB. he has to go to the right system (west coast) he doesn't have the arm to play in a scheme that is built on stretching the field.

and keep in mind he's doing this with 2 nfl WR's.. shite 2 first round NFL WR's one of which will will without question be a top 5 pick and an NFL offensive line.

from what i gather the general consensus is

1. geno smith
2. tyler wilson
3. matt barkley.

As I've said for years, Barley is a short, unathletic QB with medium arm strength. He's at best a mid-round and by mid-round I mean 3rd-4th round not 15-20th pick. He's been mascarading as the best QB in the land for years now solely because of the talent around him.

Guys I'd take above him for the NFL:

-Mike Glennon (most underrated QB in CFB)
-Seth Doege
-Tyler Wilson
-Tyler Bray
-Tajh Boyd
-Geno Smith

Anyone who takes Barkley with a first round pick let alone the number one pick should be publically tortured.
