Yes but Evangel was just making its name then. It had moved up to play 5A. Not many people realized what it would become.

Most folks who followed high school football at the time were very familiar with ECA at that point.

I'm not flaming on you.

Another interesting tidbit: this was advertised as the first statewide live high school game in Louisiana. Sushi may be able to verify

Dude, Evangel was unanimously ranked in the Top 10 in the country (at least one publication had them #1) and Berlin was the National Player of the Year in 1999.
