just for a good hearted discussion, (and i admit, i'm fixin to go to bed) what would have happened if your doe would have gone another 50 yards and disappeared into a thick, thicket, right at dark? This is exactly why so many people lose deer with the balistic tip.. No exit to let all that shite come out and no blood trail, however short it needed to be.. She may have kept on laying there, she may have not..

eta; and the normal effort of finding wounded deer by the large population of kneebooters took place.
