Oregon loses to Oregon St.
ND loses bad to USC
UGA loses to G Tech
Bama loses to UGA
Florida loses to FSU
FSU loses ACC Championship
Clemson loses to South Carolina
K State loses to Texas
Would we get in over either ND or UGA?
NOPE. UGA would have WON the SEC and ND would still only have one loss.

DO we get in under this scenario?

This is the only way I thought of if Bama beats Auburn
@Palm Beach Tiger
If that scenario happens, with LSU at 10-2 the other teams will look like the following:
Oregon: 10-2 or 11-2 (All depends of what Stanford does)
ND: 11-1
UGA: 11-2
Bama: 11-2
Florida: 10-2
FSU: 11-2
Clemson: 11-2
K State: 10-2
At this point, you wouldn't have any undefeated teams; just a 1-loss ND team that would be in the BCSNCG. Not sure who would play them though.
The more important question is, how do you rank these teams???
Interesting!

and how do we get past the four teams with 11 wins including the two that beat us in that scenario ?

Sugar won't pick A&M over LSU....Fiesta probably would have, but that's out, but Sugar will definitely take LSU over A&M.
Not able to understand this perspective.
While the Sugar might well pick LSU, I agree with Matt that it is unlikely they will (barring something unforseen). I'm an LSU guy, but if I'm a Sugar bowl selection committee member I see it as a much sexier game and story to have the newest member of the SEC go to the Sugar, with the presumptive Heisman candidate, and a rabid fan base that will travel very well.

If the Sugar Bowl committe stops thinking about money, they will take LSU.However,we know they won't so they take aTm

well, considering each bowl is a private, for profit business, i am going to assume the sugar bowl is going to be thinking about money just like any business would .. the sugar bowl has a pretty sizeable nut that they have to pay out as a BCS bowl to the two schools, so yes, they are going to make their match up decision based on maximizing their income ..

Which is why LSU is going to get the nod over A&M (if Florida loses). LSU is one of the very best college football brands which brings fans and TV ratings. It's not 1992 anymore. LSU is one of THE marquee teams in the nation. We don't need to make the top four to "force" some bowl to take us. they want us. Badly.

The question is, what money and in what form?
1. Ticket sales - should be an easy sellout with either school. Personally, I think the demand would be much, much higher at A&M, but at the end of the day it is a sellout either way.
2. TV ratings - LSU should have a much higher national appeal given their national status. But if manziel wins the Hesiman, a lot of people might tune in to check this guy out.
3. Tourism. Does the Sugar Bowl care about this? It isn't money that goes directly in their pockets, but if they do A&M would come in and stay for a week. Also, Sugar Bowl Paraphernalia (t-shirts, etc,) would be much higher for A&M

If:
Notre Dame loses to USC
Bama loses to Auburn
A&M beats Mizzou
Oregon loses to Oregon State
Fla loses to Fla State
Kstate loses to Texas
LSU beats UGA,
Then:
LSU vs Alabama for all the marble...hahaha

Does South Bend get hit by an asteroid too? Because 1-loss Notre Dame would go over 2-loss Bama in your situation.

or maybe LSU vs Florida State?
Posted on 11/19/12 at 2:54 pm to lsumatt
would LSU vs Notre Dame be possible in this scenario?

Florida State and Notre Dame both go above Bama in this. BCS standings probably look like:
1. Florida State
2. LSU (or ND)
3. ND (or LSU)
4. Bama

As unlikely as all that seems, it would be fun to watch those dominoes fall. I think LSU beats Fla State or NDame given the chance. National Media will be screaming for a one loss ND team over a 2 loss SEC...

In the Sugar Bowl?? It depends on who they play.Clemson would bring a shitload of fans kinda like tOSU did in 2007.

Which is precisely why the Sugar Bowl took RGIII and Baylor last season. And he had a far higher Q-rating than Manziel.
LSU brings a lot more eyeballs and more prestige. There is no question that any bowl, save the Cotton trying to set up an A&M-UT matchup, would take LSU over A&M. Stop underselling our brand. We're one of the most desirable programs for a bowl game. A&M is a very good get. We're a great one.
