I have been doing it out of my 1100 for probably 20yrs. It is a late 60s gun. No damage yet
It has a mod choke built into the barrel

Made me think of when steel first had to be used, 1970's I think. Me and some friends where in Holly Beach at the refuge to duck hunt and ya'll are worried about damage to a steel barrel, hell 40 years ago steel shot had trouble doing damage to a bird. You could swear the wad went farther and faster than the shot. This was out of a Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight. Still have gun.
