I'm actually buying into stocks now, but I wouldn't keep my investments liquid even if I wanted to cash out.

I like Vanguard's long term bond fund myself.
It's also available as an ETF if you prefer that.

Why would you suggest a long-term bond/bond fund when rates will rise in the mid-term.
