A lot is different from 2 years ago
STM uses one QB, no more wildcat running QB
STM SR QB Brandon Bergeron
3050 yards passing
73% comp
35 TDs
9 INTS
they have two 900+ yard receivers (Kelley/Juneau) and three pass catching TEs (fabre/Lochridge brothers), they also have a 900+ yard RB (Dozier).
They have scored 456 pts this year through 11 games and given up 197. This is no dink and dunk offense, the YPC avg is 14.5.
Warren Easton tried to blitz 8 or 9 and play man on the outside with cover zero over the top and Bergeron, Kelley and Juneau torched them.
The STM defense started off the season slow but they have gotten better week after week. The secondary is very fast and great in coverage. The weakness of the team may be facing a physical running game. They haven't seen a running team pound the ball at them since the Central game because they are usually leading and the opponent has to play catch up.
Should be a good game if St Aug can run the football and keep the STM offense off the field. If St Aug struggles defending the STM passing game and St Aug falls behind then Fournette wont be a factor.

Yea that's what I thought. I don't think we will be bringing the house as usual but we definitely will man up while mixing it up.

Gary Triplett, Courville, from Central do not equal a power running game. I saw St. Amant shut Central's "power" running game down. Leonard Fournette is a power back. I don't know too much about the rest of St Aug's team except Fournette but you can't compared anybody on Central to Fournette. Should be a great game. I still can't get that Sulphur loss STM suffered out of my head. That Sulphur team was pretty bad. I don't think STM brought in a bunch of new players.

I would like to see STM use the TE more in the passing game. Kelly and Juneau had fantastic game against Easton, as did Bergeron. STM wants this game badly, to get a chance for redemption vs. Karr.
