We have a shitload of grey foxes where we hunt. We see them almost every hunt. They're usually pretty wary, but last week I shot a buck on a pipeline and got down to go look for it and about 2 minutes later a fox comes bouncing down the pipeline towards me. He came with-in 50 yards of me and my son.

My brother killed one years ago and had it mounted. It was the stupidest mount ever. It was in a sitting position like a dog.

It has since been lost or I'd post some pics of it.

The abundance of foxes may be part of the reason we have very few turkeys.

Like this one?

He was hanging around our camp site in the Yukon and damn near as tame as a dog. I was about 15 feet away when he decided to dig through our stuff.

How does one "lose" a mounted fox?

Did he accidentally leave it on the roof of his car?
